The Club was formed in the autumn of 1969 by keen parents including Reg Goodall, Tony Williams and John Harvey.

The machines of the day were converted road machines or mopeds, the lucky few did get purpose built machines from either CZ or Bultaco. As the years progressed Japanese machines became more popular and the sport boomed.

From these years the club produced many adult champions in ACU and AMCA. Riders who rode at the club include, Dave Thorpe, Dave Watson, Graham Noyce, Geoff Mayes, Rob Herring, Paul Malin, Kurt Nicoll, Craig Pratley and Justin Morris to name a few.

Being part of the BSMA for all those years, the main goal of each club was to win the Team Event. The prestigious title eluded the club until 1999. Since then club has won it 11 times and hope to continue its winning ways in the future.
